Ancient Fan Art

I deleted my Deviant Art account today.

It ceased to be amusing.  The only thing that ever generated any interest was my fan art,  and then only the glamor shots. (My big-mouthed-Bono, f'ex, wasn't exactly a hit.)

I don't mind when people don't like my work.  But it just got too painful when literally everyone ignores work I'm really proud of and fawns like sycophants over a pencil sketch that took less than 10 minutes.  I know, welcome to the art world - yeah.

But when the positive feedback inevitably humiliates or infuriates you, you know it's time to move on.

Anyway, since I've long since chosen not to be ashamed of my inner fan girl, and since I'm really fond of these and they no longer have a home anywhere else on the internet, here are a few really old paintings of... well...  I guess you could call them "rock stars" if you've got a really loose definition of "rock."  And "star," for that matter.

Aren't they just dreamy

I LOVE fan art. I like these ones too.

I think the only thing I ever really draw is fan art.. but I disguise it really well! At least, uh, sometimes.

Hello "My Darling Daughter" :)
From my point of view, it's just as well you left deviant art! I never could remember to go to that site anyway! As for people not caring for some of your art, remember, you can't please all the people all the time! They don't really need to leave stupid remarks tho'!!!
(Bono does look better with a smile. He has a very nice one. :D )
Lots of Hugs and Love

I like your paintings. Your "about me" made me smile too. My daughter has the largest collection of my works in the world :) It's nice to have an adoring fan.
I ventured to deviant art once but it seemed a strange place to me.
